We would like to present to you a beautiful painting created by Arkadiusz Dzielawski in 2017. “Koh I Noor” – oil on board, size 67x52cm / 26x20in.
The original painting and certified prints on paper are available in our gallery. You can check details by clicking here.
Here is the artist’s interpretation of his painting:
This painting is about us and our lives. “KOH-I-NOOR” means The Mountain of Light. It is also the name of one of the largest cut diamonds in the world. And you can find the Mountain in the middle of the painting. There are three main stages of reality presented in this painting.
First – the past. Symbolised by the decaying buildings. Something, that belongs to the past and should be left where it belongs. The Buildings are us – the people, our parents, grandparents.
Second – the present. Symbolised by the Mountain of Light. Here is where we all are at this very moment in time. It is our golden time. A time, that we should use as best as we can, to use it for achieving our goals, to follow our dreams, to take the energy from present and to become good people. It is our time to develop our skills and be good in what we do in our lives. We should focus on this part.
The third – the future. Symbolised by the growing plant. This plant will be a tree someday. Out of this tree, the wood, someone will build a house. It is a symbol of hope and inevitable change.
You will also find a lot of other details, such as butterflies. They symbolise momentary of life, volatility of life, sensitivity. They fly up to the sky, as we should too.
The painting has a very positive message. Everybody will see it differently and it is the artist intention for you to see your own story, however, he gives you a nice hint.
Budynki to my – ludzie, nasi rodzice, dziadkowie.
Po drugie – teraźniejszość. Symbolizowana przez Górę Światła. Wszyscy jesteśmy tu i teraz. To nasz złoty czas. To czas, aby rozwijać swoje umiejętności. Powinniśmy skupić się właśnie na tej części.
Trzecia – przyszłość. Symbolizowana przez rosnącą roślinę. Ta roślina stanie się kiedyś drzewem, a z jej drewna ktoś zbuduje dom. To symbol nadziei i nieuchronnej zmiany.
Intencją artysty jest, aby zobaczyli Państwo swoją własną historię, jednak daje on nam pewne wskazówki.
